We are pleased to have been shortlisted in the Structural Timber Awards 2020 for Best Private House for our new build timber framed replacement dwelling New Lodge in Henley on Thames.
The awards recognise innovation and excellence in the use of structural timber and New Lodge demonstrates this with a uniquely designed timber frame to create an open, light and airy feel. The design also incorporated a double height entrance and landing space, rear cantilevered first floor and also large open plan Kitchen space, using structural timber.
The use of timber frame and also charred larch timber cladding creates a very low impact house and one which responds to the challenges the world is facing with regards to the climate. We are very proud to have been shortlisted and we are looking forward to see if we can attend the awards, Covid permitting.
