Our clients had previously appointed a local design firm, but they had not understood the local planning policy when it came to Non-designated Heritage Asset's and were refused planning permission. Using our considerable experience we encouraged our clients to undertake a new full design of the property which took cues and design ideas from the Arts and Crafts movement to compliment the existing heritage aspects of their home.
After working very closely with the planners to ensure the proposals were in keeping with the Heritage aspects, plus producing a full CGI model to showcase the design we were successful in securing planning approval for the extensive extension and refurbishment of their house.
We secured new rear and second floor extensions, plus additional side extensions to create additional space but more importantly a design which worked and improved the existing flow and layout of the house. We are looking forward to seeing this one develop.
