On the success of other bungalow projects we were approached by our clients to extend and develop their chalet bungalow to create a new modern home. The family required additional living space but more importantly bedroom accommodation for their growing family.
We proposed to retain the existing ground floor of the bungalow, extending to the rear with a new single storey extension and creating a new timber frame SIPS panel full first floor extension. This design created full size bedrooms at first floor, plus roof area for solar panels and skylights to bathe the internal spaces in natural light. A re-positioned staircase and re-ordering of the ground floor created a new home which flowed and provides all the required spaces for family life.
We submitted the scheme for planning approval and at the same time undertook the technical design of the project so that they could start work as soon as possible.
Planning permission was granted and we now look forward to seeing the scheme commence on site.
