We worked on a scheme to transform an existing and dated 1960's bungalow adjacent to a Grade 2 Listed property into a modern two storey family dwelling. Through a series of extensions, internal refurbishments and the addition of a first floor the existing bungalow has been transformed to take advantage of a wonderful plot. Equally, to be sympathetic to the adjacent Grade 2 Listed neighbouring property. By working with the local planning authority at the Pre-planning stage we were able to establish a common approach to the design and provide confidence that no harm would occur to the Listed Building. This ensured that when the detailed proposals were submitted the planning application was granted first time and by delegated powers. The new transformation creates a wonderful, modern, light and spacious family home for our clients.
