Thames House is a Feasibility Scheme for a new contemporary dwelling on the banks of the River Thames in Berkshire to replace an existing dwelling. The brief was to make the most of the rural riverside setting and we adopted an upside down design with the main living and entertaining space on the first floor to take advantage of the amazing views over the river.
To the ground floor we located bedrooms and other reception rooms which connect with the rural setting and also link to modern outside spaces. Externally we have fire pits, an infinite pool and also internal courtyards maximising views and connection with the outsides.
The design has been supported with realistic CGI's, to enable client by in for the scheme and to give a sense of the sympathetic and unique design.
