We have secured planning approval for a new replacement dwelling within an area of architectural special interest in Amersham. The existing dwelling required a major amount of improvement to meet our clients requirements and we soon agreed that the most cost effective option was to replace the existing dwelling.

The design utilises the key features found in many of the local dwellings with predominant gables, set back projections and an alternative mix of local brickwork with feature timber cladding. The central atrium space enables connection of all the rooms in the house with a large skylight above so that every space benefits from natural light and also allows flow between all rooms and floors. 

We worked with the clients to design a new contemporary family home which meets their needs and also future proofs the house offering a very high sustainability factor. We are designing the house to be run from an Air Source Heat Pump and to have increased levels of insulation to provide the clients with low running costs.

We are looking forward to seeing the project progress and hope to be on site early next year.
