We were commissioned to design a whole house extension and refurbishment for a detached property on St Marks Road in Penn. Our clients were determined to modernise the property and create a contemporary, open plan and light feel to the house. We maximised the value of the property with additional living spaces to the ground floor and new bedroom accommodation through a new second floor addition.
Our project for St John's highlights how an existing house can be transformed to provide an almost new property compared to the existing. The resulting design worked with the orientation of the existing house by creating a large triple height entrance hall with feature stair to bring in much needed light and by creating a new single storey extension with full height glazing to accommodate a Kitchen, dining and lounge area.
